2. Is it out of the ordinary for a girl 16 years of age to get married?What are traditional customs in Mumbai, India when it comes to marriage?
There are different customs in different castes / groups.





But usually gifts are exchanged in marriages. Woman's family gives gifts to man's but then the man's side reciprocates,too.





It is unusual to get married at such an young and tender age, particularly in urban areas. It is not a normal phenomenon.
